
Auditions - Treasure Island
Springboro Community Theatre is proud to announce auditions for "Treasure Island”!

AUDITIONS: June 10th and 11th - 6:30 PM
POTENTIAL CALLBACKS: Wednesday June 12th - 6:30 PM
PERFORMANCES: Friday, August 2, 2024 at 7:00pm Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 7:00pm Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 7:00pm Friday, August 9, 2024 at 7:00pm Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 7:00pm **There will be no second Sunday show this year, which is different than previous years.
REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will begin the week of June 17. Typically rehearsal schedule will be M-TH, 6:30 - 9:00, though not all actors will necessarily be called to every single rehearsal.
AUDITION PROCEDURES: Please prepare 45-60 seconds of a musical theatre/musical theatre adjacent song (that is not in the show) that showcases your vocal abilities. Please bring a karaoke/instrumental track to audition with on a cell phone/other device. We will also have an accompanist available at auditions, if you choose to bring sheet music. Please email president@borotheatre.org if you have questions or need assistance with this. Be prepared to learn a short dance number and do cold readings from the script. Please bring a COMPLETE AND THOROUGH list of conflicts from June 17 - August 11, 2024.

Tom Morgan: First mate of the schooner Hispaniola, Baritone
Billy Bones: A former pirate, Baritone
Mrs. Hawkins: Proprietress of the Admiral Benbow Inn, Soprano
Jim Hawkins: Mrs. Hawkins’ teenage son, Tenor or Baritone
Meg: A barmaid at the Inn, later disguised as Sam, a cabin boy, Soprano or Mezzo
Pew: A blind conspirator, Non-singing
Black Dog: Pew’s henchman, Non-singing
Captain Alexander Smollett: Master of the Hispaniola, Baritone
Israel Hands: The Coxswain, Baritone
George Merry: The Ship’s Navigator, Baritone
Job Anderson: The Boatswain, Baritone
Dick Johnson: The ship’s Senior Deck Hand, Baritone
Long John Silver: The peg leg cook, Baritone
Ben Gunn: A former pirate, marooned on the island, Tenor or Baritone
Men’s Chorus: Sailors and pirates, hornpipe dancers, acrobatic specialists, Various types and voices
Women’s Chorus: Wives and sweethearts, Various types and voices
